About the token
What is $HOODIE?
$HOODIE launched on July 8, 2026, trading on Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum layer 2 that Robinhood itself brought to mainnet a week earlier on July 1, 2026. Before the tokenized stocks and the DeFi apps had even settled in, memecoins moved onto the new chain and set up camp. $HOODIE was one of the names that stuck.
The token trades on Uniswap and is pooled against WETH, with the pair tracked live on GeckoTerminal. There is no presale deck, no vesting schedule, and no promise of a listing. It is a chart, a mascot, and whoever is awake enough to hold through the candles.
About the chain
What is Robinhood Chain?
An L2 built for real assets
Robinhood Chain is Robinhood's own Ethereum layer 2, built on Arbitrum technology, that reached public mainnet on July 1, 2026 at the company's "The World Is Flat" event in London. It's described as AI native and purpose built for real world assets, using ETH itself as the gas token rather than shipping a proprietary coin.
Tokenized stocks, day one
The headline product is Stock Tokens: standard ERC-20 wrappers on names like Nvidia, Apple, and Google that trade 24/7 and plug straight into DeFi as collateral. They're built to move across third party wallets and DEXs, not just live inside Robinhood's own app.
Launch partners
Uniswap, Lighter, 1inch, and Arcus from the dYdX team were live from day one, with Chainlink powering oracle infrastructure and Morpho behind Robinhood Earn, a lending product offering yield on USDG stablecoins.
The unexpected meme meta
Nobody put it on the roadmap, but within days of mainnet going live, the most active corner of Robinhood Chain wasn't stock tokens or lending, it was memecoins. Traders pointed liquidity at the new chain fast, pools started spinning up, and a mascot in a hoodie was one of the names that stuck.
